Dr. Richmond Atuahene, a banking consultant, has cautioned the government against completing an external debt restructuring agreement, warning that it may lead to a dangerous reliance on foreign funds and perpetual borrowing.

He urged the government to explore alternative solutions, such as capturing and tracking remittances, to address debt repayment and boost the economy.

Atuahene emphasized on the need for a strategic approach to address pay-off and interest, rather than relying on debt restructuring.
