The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disputed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) claim of creating 2.1 million jobs between 2017 and 2022.
During a tour of the Ahafo Region, NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama accused the NPP of inflating figures to gain votes.
Mahama noted that unemployment has risen under the NPP, from 8% during the NDC’s administration to nearly 15%.
He questioned the impact of the NPP's claimed job creation, as many people have not seen improvements. Mahama emphasized the need for a 24-hour economy to boost job creation across the country.
