Former NDC Deputy General Secretary Koku Anyidoho has questioned Alan Kyerematen's criticism of former President John Agyekum Kufuor for endorsing NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Koku argued that as a loyal NPP member, Kufuor’s support for Bawumia is natural, reminding Alan that he left the party.
Alan, now an independent candidate, claims Kufuor’s endorsement has tarnished his legacy, inviting political disrespect. He urged Kufuor to avoid further endorsements, calling it inappropriate.
Kufuor, however, expressed confidence in Bawumia’s ability to lead Ghana, citing his economic expertise during Kufuor's tenure.
Meanwhile, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a spokesperson for John Mahama, defended Kufuor’s stance, emphasizing it’s his duty to support his party, though it won’t guarantee electoral victory for the NPP.
