Ahead of the upcoming 2022 Ramadan, a period of fasting and prayers by Muslims to Allah, Arla Foods, producer and distributor of Dano Milk has made a generous donation to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, and the general Muslim community.

The donation, including boxes of the different variants of Dano Milk, as well as the newest, Dano ‘hy3 me ma’ dairy creamer, upholds Dano’s commitment to ensuring that their consumers stay nourished in this solemn period where they stay away from food.

In an interview with Journalists, Mr. Wilson Agbeko, Marketing Manager of Arla Foods, stated that the donation “launches our mosque activities instituted by Dano, where Dano Milk would be served to Muslims in selected mosques across the country during the ‘Suhur’ and ‘Iftar’ periods of the Ramadan.”

Mr. Agbeko reiterated,” We believe that every food you take must have the maximum nutrition. The body is under immense stress from the abstinence from food while fasting. So as a company committed to providing affordable dairy nutrition, Dano has all the nutrients the body needs stays strong, and nourished, and put it in shape for the next day of the fast, and the whole fasting period. That’s why we are doing this.”

“We want our Muslim brothers and sisters to eat well, and to eat well, during the Suhur and Iftar period, you need food that is tasty, and has all the nutrients that the body needs to keep it nourished and strong.

Mr. Wilson Agbeko used the opportunity to seek the Imam’s blessing for Arla Foods and the Dano Brand and called on other companies and brands to emulate the gesture.

Present at the ceremony were Greater Accra Regional Sales Manager-Arla Foods, Mr. Davis Doku; Sheikh Aremeyaw Shuaibu; the Deputy Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission, among other dignitaries.

This year's Ramadan fasting started on Saturday, April 2 or April 3, 2022, upon the sighting of the crescent.
