Student exchange and international summer programmes
The Best Education Student Exchange and International Summer programs are designed to provide an opportunity for students from primary to tertiary levels to broaden their horizon, gain valuable experience culturally and socially and at the same time acquire relevant knowledge that enhances their leadership potential and future career prospects. These programs are hosted by our partner universities in Canada, the UK, and the USA during the summer holidays from July to August each year.
Students will be able to enjoy a number of academic, cultural, tourist and leisure activities that provide opportunities to practice newly acquired skills. Regular trips to various cities and tourist attractions give students the opportunity to discover local history and culture.
Depending on what experiences you will like, you may opt to stay at an on-campus residential college or live with a host family. Living with a host family is a way to improve and learn more about a country’s culture and meet new people in a friendly and nurturing environment. Parents are welcome to travel with their wards on the summer programs.
Undergraduate degree programs
Through our education providers, we have a wide range of undergraduate and pathway programs to suit every type of qualification. The levels of study include;
International Foundation - Typically 6 months to one year in duration. Ideal for students with IGCSE, WAEC, and weak A Levels/B Diploma results.
International Year 1 - Considered the same as 1st year, with progression onto 2nd year of Bachelor's degree program. Suitable for strong WAEC results holders and A-Level /B Diploma students looking for a solid foundation in their first year at university.
Diploma - A 2year course leading to Year 3 of university Bachelor's degree. Suitable for students with IGCSE/O Levels, WAEC, and A-Levels/ IB Diploma's.
Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree - A 2 or 3year academic program usually in Australia, Canada, and the USA leading to the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree program. An advanced diploma or an Associate degree is a recognized qualification eligible for employment or further
education.
Bachelor's degree - Bachelor's degrees are mostly 3 years in duration for Australia, UK and Ireland but 4years in Canada and USA. The basic entry requirement is A Level/IB Diploma. WAEC holders are admissible for direct entry in Canada and USA whereas Diploma and HD holders may be
eligible for Bachelor's degree top-up in the UK.
Post Graduate
Graduate Qualifying Program (GQP) - A one-semester program designed for students with Bachelor's degree intending to study a Master's program for which they do not meet the minimum entry requirement. GQP is usually offered by Australian institutions.
Graduate Certificate - Graduate Diploma or Pre Masters - a one semester to a year postgraduate course in UK & Ireland, Canada, and Australia, designed to prepare students for a Master's degree. The Grad Cert/Grad Dip in Canada and Australia is considered the same as the 1st year of a 2-year Master's program. Student can exist their studies at this Master's course. This level of study is ideal for bachelor's degree holders including 3rd Class who have not met the minimum entry requirements for the master's program they intend to study.
Master's Degree – Typically 1 year in UK and Ireland but up to 2 years in Australia, Canada, and the USA. Designed for prospective students with a Bachelor's degree. Eligibility into master’s programs differs between courses and Universities.
Ph.D. - A research degree program that lasts 3 to 4 years. The prospective candidate must have a Master's degree and a research proposal as the basic eligibility requirements
