The Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) wishes to inform its members and the general public that, the motion for interlocutory injunction restraining the society from conducting Board elections, filed by the erstwhile election committee was thrown out of court by an Accra High Court on Wednesday, 9th February 2022.

This development has paved the way for a new date to be set for the Board elections to usher in the next Board of Directors. Members will recall that, the erstwhile election committee members namely, Nana Boahene AKA STEBO, Rev. Mensah Bonsu, Kingsley Sarpong and Gloria Dzifa Ashinyo, filed a motion for an interlocutory injunction dated November 29, 2021, against the Ghana music Rights Organization, the Chief Executive Officer and the new election committee, which was scheduled for hearing on the 7th December 2021.

After consideration of arguments made for and against the said motion by the respective lawyers , the court dismissed the case in favor of the society to enable it to continue its electoral processes.

GHAMRO wishes to assure its members that management, is taking all due steps to make sure that the normal administrative process in the organization is reinstated as soon as practicable.

Dated 16th February 2022.
