Sonotech presenting a dummy cheque to a surgeon at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital
As part of activities to climax the month-long celebration of breast cancer awareness, Sonotech Medical and Diagnostics has partnered with other institutions to support the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Together with its partners, Oliver Twist Shack, Airport West Hotel, Tnyou Fitness, Miss Health Ghana, Make-Up Ghana, Kora Spa & Adoa TV donated a sum of GH¢10,000 for survivors’ treatment to the Breast Cancer Unit on November 5, 2021.
The Medical Director of Sonotech, Dr. Grace Buckman indicated that the centre has for the last five years embarked on the breast cancer awareness month to create public awareness and help save the lives of those affected by the disease.
“It is in light of this that Sonotech together with its partners is supporting the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital to give hope and save lives,” she said.
She added that in the spirit of saving lives, the Centre focused on free breast screening and discounts on breast ultrasound scans and mammograms during the entire month of October at its branches in Osu, Tema, and West Hills.
A Surgeon at the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Josephine Nsaful expressed gratitude to the team on behalf of the Hospital.
