The items donated are worth GH¢5,000
The American Warehouse GH, a shop based in Maryland, USA, with an outlet in Ghana at Tema, has presented some assorted items to the Compassion Rehabilitation Centre at Prampram in the Greater Accra Region.
The items, which included bags of rice, flavored oats, oil, Juices, tomato pastes, and paper towels worth over GH¢5,000.
Mr. Desmond Boham, the Director of Operations of American Warehouse GH, in brief remarks to present the items on Friday, October 29, 2021, said the company presented the items as part of its corporate social responsibility.
He noted that the gesture had become an annual ritual by the company, pledging that the company would continue to support the rehab center.
He said operating a rehab center was not an easy task, hence the need for the corporate world and benevolent individuals to support such initiatives.
For Mr. Boham, American Warehouse GH was not only interested in making a profit but to contribute to the development of the larger society, particularly towards the underprivileged and vulnerable.
"We are not all about profit; we are about quality and the welfare of the people in our markets and society at large,” he said.
He added, “We believe that people who are consciously making an effort to better their lifestyle deserve our support, and that is why we chose Compassion Rehabilitation Centre for our social responsibility initiative."
In addition, Mr. Boham said, “American Warehouse GH, believes that such facilities deserve the most support as a society, in general, forgets the discipline and resolve it takes to turn lives around.”
For him, as a company that sells exclusively and authentic products from the United States, it would continue to support laudable initiatives in the country, particularly initiatives that are meant to support the vulnerable.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Rehab Centre, the House Manager, Mr. Daniel Vroom, an Internationally Certified Addiction Professional, commended the American Warehouse GH for the partnership and support over the years.
He said the company (American Warehouse GH) had been very supportive over the years, encouraging other benevolent organizations and individuals to also come on board and support the activities of the center.

Compassion Rehab Center provides counseling and guidance support for people who have made conscious efforts to rehabilitate themselves from various addictions, traditions, and creativity.
