Two people are in critical condition after a violent clash between residents of Shia, a border community in the Ho Municipality, and Ghana Immigration Service officers.
The unrest reportedly began on November 14 after a disagreement between an immigration officer and some okada riders.
The situation escalated on November 15 when armed officers stormed the community around 4:00 PM, leading to chaos.
Aggrieved residents responded by blocking roads to the Immigration Service office and burning lorry tyres.
