An independent parliamentary candidate in Afram Plains North, Kpeli Worlasi, has accused incumbent MP Betty Krosbi Mensah of using violence against his supporters.
Worlasi’s team claims that the MP, with assistance from armed men and the Police
Intelligence Directorate, is targeting his campaign rallies and ransacking homes.
They allege incidents of harassment, including an October 26 funeral event where armed police ordered Worlasi's supporters to remove T-shirts bearing his name before allegedly opening fire.
The situation has reportedly created fear among voters, deterring them from attending campaign events due to concerns for their safety.
