Akufo-Addo commissions Flower Pot interchange

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially commissioned the Flower Pot Interchange in Accra, a key infrastructure project designed to alleviate traffic congestion on the Tema Motorway.

The interchange features an 802-meter dual carriageway viaduct, two ramps connecting to Shiashie and the Motorway, and new roads, pedestrian walkways, and road furniture.

Funded by the Government of Ghana and Afrexim Bank for GHS 677.8 million, the project, which began in March 2017, was constructed by China Railway No. 5 Engineering Ghana Ltd.

President Akufo-Addo urged stakeholders to ensure the interchange meets its objectives and is maintained for the long term.
