President Nana Akufo-Addo will inaugurate the Flower Pot Interchange on November 19, aiming to ease traffic between the north and south of the Tema Motorway.
This development will enhance connectivity from Cantonments and Burma Camp to East Legon, Spintex, and Tema, improving the quality of life for locals.
Key features include an 802-meter dual carriageway viaduct, two ramps of 140 and 80 meters, and a new road through the East Legon tunnel.
Additionally, the project redesigns the Flower Pot roundabout, adds pedestrian walkways, and installs road safety elements.
Started in March 2017, the project was executed by China Railway No. 5 Engineering with consulting from Deoke Consult. It was funded by Afrexim Bank and the Ghanaian government.
