Dauda Jawara Salifu, spokesperson for the Mamprusi community in Bawku, has disagreed with calls to remove rival chief Seidu Abagre to resolve the ongoing conflict in the area.
He argues that Mr. Seidu, a native of Bawku and a respected community figure, should not be exiled, as his presence and guidance are valuable to his people.
This follows comments from Chieftaincy Minister Stephen Asamoah Boateng, who suggested that Mr. Seidu’s removal could help restore peace.
Salifu emphasized that Mr. Seidu’s enskinment was conducted by the rightful kingmaker and adheres to traditional and constitutional guidelines.
