Kranka(B/A), Nov.30, GNA - Cashew farmers at Kranka in the Nkoranza district of Brong Ahafo have called on marketing companies and dealers to help them with loans to maintain their farms. They said their inability to access credit facilities had made it difficult for them to hire labourers to work on their farms. Mr. Matthew Duakoh-Nsiah and Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Asante, two leading producers of the crop told Ghana News Agency that they had begun weeding under the trees but needed money to engage labourers to help them prepare fire belts around their farms against bushfires. They complained that even though they had approached the purchasing companies and individuals for loans but had not received any response.
