Fire destroys properties at Berekum GWCL office

A fire broke out at the Berekum Ghana Water Limited office in the Bono Region on November 1, 2024, with the cause still under investigation.

The security guard, Hammond Bejawo, noticed smoke around 3 a.m. and alerted the Ghana National Fire Service, but significant damage had already occurred by the time they arrived.

The fire destroyed various items, including pipes, tubes, motorcycles, and machinery, as well as part of the operational rooms.

The company management is waiting for a report from the fire service before making further comments.
