A tragic collision at Suame-Maakro in the Ashanti region claimed four lives and left eleven severely injured.
The incident involved a Burkina Faso-bound cargo truck colliding with a ‘trotro’ mini bus carrying fifteen passengers.
The collision occurred after the cargo truck veered off its lane, causing the mini bus to somersault multiple times.
Two passengers died instantly, and two others succumbed to injuries at Tafo Government Hospital despite immediate medical attention.
Eleven injured passengers are receiving treatment at the hospital. Police investigations indicate potential brake failure as the cause of the accident.
