Engineers from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) have ordered a group of Chinese nationals to stop excavation work under high-voltage power lines at Shiashie and vacate the area.
The project was on GRIDCo-owned land, which prohibits construction.

The Chinese nationals claimed to have authorization from the Municipal Chief Executive, Clement Wilkinson, who has denied this.
GRIDCo has directed the workers to backfill trenches and leave the site immediately.
