The Chiefs and people of Ga Mashie in Accra celebrated the annual Homowo festival with vibrant festivities in James Town on Saturday.
The event, symbolizing triumph over hunger, featured the traditional sprinkling of "kpokpoi" by Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, and rituals by Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayibonte, near Ussher Fort.
The festival showcased rich Ga culture, including musketry and processions by sub-chiefs and elders.
Visitors from various regions filled the streets, joining the locals in celebrating this season of abundance, which highlights the Ga people's resilience and cultural heritage.
