Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has disclosed the Krowor Municipal Assembly will soon setup an ice making factory as part of the government’s one-district-one-factory initiative.
The initiative according to her is in partnership with the Korean Overseas Fisheries Association.
Ms Afoley who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Krowor disclosed that the necessary feasibility checks have been done adding that the factory when complete will reduce the high unemployment in the municipality.
She revealed this in an interview with Class News on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Krowor Municipal Assembly on Thursday, 15 March 2018.
She said: “We are putting up an ice making factory in Krowor. The Korean government and the Korean Overseas Fisheries Association are supporting us to put up an ice making factory and this is happening now. All the materials needed for the construction of the facility are ready.”
