Robert Dwomoh Mensah, the District Chief Executive for Asutifi South, suspects foul play in the recent fire that destroyed Osuodumgya Basic School in Hwidiem, leaving teachers and pupils stranded.
In an interview, Dwomoh noted that the school's security guard reported hearing footsteps shortly before the fire.
Additionally, reports of vehicle windscreen damage by unknown individuals in Hwidiem have surfaced, raising further concerns.
Dwomoh pledged to investigate and hold the culprits accountable. Asutifi South MP, Alhaji Collins Dauda, who visited the school, mentioned that another structure in Zongo was also burned in a separate incident.
