The Seed Producers Association of Ghana has expressed its condolence to the bereaved family, the Ghanaian public and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) fraternity on the loss of President John Atta Mills.
In a statement, the Association President, Osofo Patrick A. Apullah said members were still in a confused state, following the death of President Mills on Tuesday July 24, 2012 and were struggling to come to terms with the vacuum that had been created.
It said President Mills used to dream and preach agriculture wherever he went.
The association appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to carry out the agriculture policies and programs of President Mills, to help enhance agricultural production.
Osofo Apullah, who is also President of the West Africa Seed Companies Association, called for peace among all political parties in honor of the late president, whom he described, as an engineer of peace.
He also urged Ghanaians to emulate the patience and humility qualities of the President Mills to help keep the nation together.**
