A fire tender from Kade Fire Station (FS 438) has been involved in an accident at Otwenkwanta, near Kade in the Eastern Region, while responding to an emergency.
Seven crew members were injured; five are being treated at Akwatia St. Dominic’s Hospital, and two are in critical condition at Kade Government Hospital.
One crew member escaped unhurt.
The accident's cause is under investigation.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) expressed their thoughts and prayers to the injured and their families, commending the firefighters' bravery and wishing them a speedy recovery, while reaffirming their commitment to public safety.
