“We climb trees before we make calls” – Wawasua residents lament poor mobile connectivity

Residents of Wawasua in Sunyani East, Bono Region, are demanding better mobile connectivity, threatening to boycott the 2024 elections if not addressed.

Struggling with poor network coverage, they find it difficult to stay in touch with family and conduct business.

Residents are appealing to telecommunication companies and the government for help, stating that they even climb trees or buildings to get a signal.

The local Assembly is working to resolve the issue.
