As part of efforts to ensure unregistered subscribers are registered before the July 31, 2022, deadline, MTN Ghana has deployed its staff/agents into major markets to help in fast-tracking the exercise.

The strategic exercise by the company is aimed at redirecting traffic from the service centers in order to enhance effective service delivery.

The move is to encourage all staff, irrespective of their role to assist with the registration of customers.

The registration exercise which was held at Lapaz a suburb of Accra on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, saw a massive turn-up. A similar exercise has also been held at Kaneshie and Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

Currently, the SIM card registration exercise is ongoing at the Madina market.

Unregistered customers around the vicinity are being entreated to visit the registration center to enable them to get their SIM cards registered.

On Saturday, the MTN staff will also set up at Tema Community 1, Tema Newtown, and Ashaiman.

More so, MTN staff and agents have been deployed to communities and major markets in all 16 regions. Unregistered customers are being urged to get in touch with the nearby registration centers.

The Ministry of Communications and Digitalization announced the mandatory registration of all SIM cards in Ghana in October 2021.

The registration exercise which started in October 2021 is scheduled to end on July 31, 2022.
