E/R Asuogyaman MP Offers Support To Woman Who Threw Her New Born Baby Into Toilet At Senchi

Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency, has paid a visit to the family of a young woman who allegedly threw her newly born baby into a toilet in Senchi, Asuogyaman.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, March 16, has caused shock and outrage in the community.

After being informed of the occurrence, Hon. Ampem Nyarko paid a visit to the family to extend his assistance.

The Honorable contributed Ghc1000 to aid the family in caring for the baby, and additionally provided Ghc5000 to the health directorate to maintain support for the infant.

Along with this, Honourable Thomas Ampem Nyarko furnished the family with baby necessities like diapers, pampers, bathing and washing soaps, baby oil, and more.

He pledged to foot their medical expenses for the next one month until the renewed health insurance becomes active.

Accompanying the Member of Parliament is the district health director, Mrs. Rebecca Bantey, who has been supporting the family since the beginning of the case.

She has assigned Mrs. Augustus, a social worker, to constantly attend to the family in the coming days. Mrs. Bantey expressed her gratitude to the Honourable for his support.

The family expressed their appreciation for the support they have received, and are grateful for the assistance they have received from Hon. Ampem Nyarko and the district health director.

The baby, who was immediately sent to the hospital after being rescued from the pit, has been treated and is said to be doing well.

Hon. Ampem Nyarko’s visit to the family is a sign of his commitment to supporting the people in his constituency, particularly in times of need.

His gesture of support will no doubt be appreciated by the family, and serves as an example of the kind of leadership that is needed in our communities.
