The father of one of the eight SHS girls sacked for insulting His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo, Mr Martin Asiedu Dartey, has granted an interview with TV3, narrating that his daughter is currently traumatized following the sacking.
Mr Martin Asiedu Dartey, narrating the condition of his daughter, said:
She is at home; she is traumatized. When the incident occurred and we spoke to our daughter, she said they were only joking. According to Mr Dartey, the decision to sack them has had a lot of impact on his daughter, who is currently in pain at home and has been traumatized every day.
He added that the girls did not intend to record the video and circulate it in the media to disgrace the president. Unfortunately, they had no idea that one of the girls went on to post it on Tiktok without informing them.
According to him, he asked his daughter after the video went viral, and she explained that they were just joking. For him, he sees it as one of the mistakes every child or youth can make, but he does not understand how a trivial matter like this will lead to the sacking of their daughters.
