A lady identified as Lydia Nyambura was accused of ending the life of her house help Njoki some years ago for allegedly having an affair with her husband.

She decided to talk about it and clear the air in an interview with Lynn Ngugi to make her accusers understand that she is innocent and revealed everything that transpired.

Lydia said that she lived with Njoki for some years and she had become part of her family.

That Njoki was the best house help anyone could ask for because she was hardworking and had a great relationship with the children.

Njoki was also God fearing and she always prayed with the kids and taught them how to sing and read the Bible.

Seeing her potential, Lydia enrolled Njoki in a computer study school then later tailoring. She also invested in her passion for farming by getting her vegetable seeds for the kitchen garden.

Lydia stayed with Njoki for close to eight years before she disappeared and found dead.

She revealed that Sundays were Njoki's days off and as she left for church on one of them, she talked to Lydia and they agreed on the time she would come back.

Lydia became worried when it was 7pm and Njoki was not home yet. She tried calling her but she was not picking the calls.

After some days of looking for her she was found in a bush murdered, naked and her hair pulled off. The police came, took her body to the morgue and later recorded statements from Lydia and other people who were with her shortly before she went silent.

The burial preparations were done and later on laid to rest at her parent's home.

However, things became tough for Njoki when she was called at the DCI's office to record another statement because there were serious rumours that she was the prime suspect in the murder of Njoki.

That she allegedly killed Njoki after she had an affair with her husband. Lydia was shocked by these accusations because none of them were true. The police did their investigation and concluded that Lydia was innocent.

At the end of the interview, Lydia advised people to be careful with how they react to sensitive matters like murder because false accusations affect victims so much.
