A woman who calls herself "Mawoena" describes her harrowing beginnings. According to the teen, she and her mum are current Accra residents.
After much "preparation," she says her father finally told her she was ready for him to enjoy. As Mawoena continues, she explains that her father began "making out" with her when she was almost 14 years old.
My dad already knows he can't add me as a second wife to his brood. After three years of "sleeping" together, my parents decided to terminate me. At that very instant, I fell gravely ill. While at home, my mother caught us doing "it" on several occasions. She ultimately opted not to file a formal complaint.
I became pregnant in my third year, and my father forced me to take a medicine that turned out to be an abortion inducer. Mawoena cannot read, so she had no alternative except to accept the pills he handed her.
Mawoena claims that her father engaged in sexual misconduct with her on multiple occasions. I went to the Amasaman police station after the abortion nearly took my life to say that my father had been "sleeping with" me.
My family tried to help me out by bringing my dad to "face the police," but he was granted bond and is currently at large. My mother finally left us for Togo because she could no longer endure the shame. "Even though my dad is now living with his friend, he still sends someone to check on me every day," Mawoena says.
