Sales and Marketing Consultant, Margaret Akoto, has stated that the current generation is ignorant about exactly what love is and what it entails.
She said this based on the high level of insecurity seen and heard amongst couples lately.
Per her observation, the current generation does not understand love, hence they settle for less and accept anything that comes their way.
In an interview with Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess on e.tv Ghana’s Girl Vibes show, she said, “They believe as long as you have feelings for the person then it means you’re in love with the person, but that is not the case and is totally wrong. I think even before you say you love someone and before you start a relationship with the person, there are some conversations you both should have.”
She added that before starting a relationship with anyone, it is important to get to know the person well enough and also set healthy boundaries in order to know what exactly you’re getting yourself into.
“You can’t just go into a relationship because of love or for the sake of it. You should know who your partner is and be able to communicate freely with each other without invading each other’s privacy,” she added.
