Partey and White give Arsenal hope of a comeback

Sat, 4 Mar 2023 Source: Ghana Trends

Bournemouth put Arsenal on the ropes. The Cherries took the lead after Billing scored the fifth fastest goal in Premier League history and later Senesi extended the lead for the visitors.

However, Thomas Partey pulled one back in the 62nd minute. After a rebound inside the box, Odegaard headed the ball to the far post where an unmarked Partey pushed the ball into the net.

Just eight minutes later, White confirmed that Arsenal were willing to go all out for a comeback. Nelson received the ball on the left flank and crossed to the far post, where Ben White finished completely unmarked, and although Neto managed to parry the ball, the keeper did so once it was over the goal line.

This would extend Arsenal's lead over City to three points should they draw as the Sky Blues beat Newcastle 2-0.
