Upon All Your Guy Guy Damongo People Hooted At You - Koku Anyidoho Slams Mahama

A former Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has reacted to the viral video in which the people of Damongo hooted at Mr. John Dramani Mahama during the enskinment of the new Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jawu Soale.

In a phone interview with Nana Konadu Abu-Prah on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho slammed Mr. John Mahama and highlighted that his rejection by his own people doesn’t bode well for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) heading into the 2024 general elections.

According to him, history has it that the late former President John Rawlings was never hooted at from his home region- the Volta region. He also continued that Ashanti region where former President John Agyekum Kufuor comes from, never hooted at him but it is only “guy guy” Mahama who set record by being the only former President who has been hooted at by his own people at Damongo.

“If your family members wouldn’t market you well, then you won’t get far. In 1992, Volta region never hooted Rawlings. President Kufuor hasn’t suffered that same fate in the hands of Ashantis before”, Mr. Anyidoho who is currently the CEO of Atta Mills Institute said.

He continued “Volta region loved Rawlings and Ashanti region loved Kufour. Then it comes to my father, Central region never hooted at him. Then Nana Addo, he comes from Akyem and Akropng, but who has hooted at him before?”

On former President John Mahama, he sadly said “then you come ‘guy guy’ wearing polo t-shirt with the collar up with his tail up and goes round bragging to the ladies to hail him but look at what has happened to you in Damongo.”
