A JHS Student Stabs Her Schoolmate to Death Over an Alleged Cheating Boyfriend

The sad incident happened at Nkwadum. Nkwadum is a place with a very small population in the Western region, of Ghana. It is situated nearby to Tanso Sireso, and close to Nyame Bekyere.

A 16- year old girl student of Nkwadum D/A Junior High School(JHS) in Ankontombra in the western north region has been stabbed to death during a fight with her schoolmate. It's alleged that the victim is known to be Afua Kumah while the culprit is known to be Francisca Hayford.

The Assemblyman for Nkwadum Electoral area, Isaac Etsie said; this happened after Francisca Hayford heard that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her mate resulted in the death of the other young lady during a fight. According to sources the lover is a well-known ‘pragya’ rider in the district.

“I was informed on Monday evening that two students were having a fight and during the fisticuffs the 15-year-old in JHS 2 stabbed the 16-year-old in JHS 3 in the breast,” the Assemblyman told Adom News’ Augustine Boah.

According to the report, the deceased initiated the fight after the suspect allegedly laid a curse on her for snatching her boyfriend. It was during the heat of the argument that the suspect returned home to grab a knife and stabbed Afua in the chest.

She was rushed to the Sefwi Wiaso Government Hospital and a Physician Assistant at the Sefwi Nsawora Health Centre, Charles Kwabena Amoako, confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead on arrival.

Francisca is now in the hands of the Nkwadum Police Station and investigations are underway.

The name of the boyfriend whom they are fighting over is not known yet.
