David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is a Nigerian singer. He blends traditional African elements with global mainstream pop. Davido won the Next Rated award in 2012 at The Headies after releasing "Dami Duro", the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo.
According to information gathered by ghanacelebrities.com, Davido has paid the tuition fee plus full allowance and free accommodation for a smart Ghanaian boy to complete his 5-year University education.
Moro Suleman is a young Ghanaian man who aced his West African Certificate Examination with flying colors last year but has been home due to financial difficulties.
His story surfaced online after a good Samaritan decided to seek support from social media to fund his tertiary education.
The story spread fast online and caught the attention of Nigerian musician Davido who asked his fans to help him locate the brilliant but needy student.
In less than 24 hours after Davido’s tweet, Suleman was located and the singer offered him a full scholarship to Adeleke University in Nigeria.
The musician also paid for his accommodation for the 4/5 years he will be spending in tertiary and added a monthly allowance till he completes his course.
Davido announced this good news on his Twitter page saying; “We have located Suleyman who loves in Ghana and he has been given a full 4/5 years’ scholarship to Adeleke University. Accommodation and allowance included. GOD bless y’all.”
