Latest News About SHS 1 Admission…

The Ghana Education Service has advised parents who are having challenges with their wards' school placement to proceed to 'SELF PLACEMENT' to get schools for their children. GES has also advised parents not to pay any money to school authorities or anyone for admission of their wards into SHS. According to them, the admission process is completely free. They also sent a warning to all SHS school authorities to desist from taking money from parents for the admission processes.

They stated categorically that any school authority who is found in this act will be dealt with. GES stated that they are reviewing the COVID-19 protocol guidelines but in the meantime, all SHS students are to wear their nose masks and observed all Covid-19 protocols. Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stated in his Nation's Address that the wearing of nose masks is not mandatory now.

The Ghana Education Service concluded by saying that the reopening date for SHS 1 students remained unchanged, thus, Monday, 4th April 2022. Some parents are complaining that the reopening date is too short for them but it appears nothing was done on this for them.
