Marcus Rashford Once Again Racially Abused On Social Media After Missing England Free-Kick

Wed, 14 Dec 2022 Source: Michael Djan

Racial abuse is an incident or a series of incidents intended or likely to intimidate, offend or harm an individual or group because of their ethnic origin, colour, race, religion or nationality.

England international football player Rashford was subject to another tide of racist abuse on social media.

During the game England-France in Qatar 2022 world cup, Rashford came on only for about eight minutes and missed a free-kick before the final whistle.

Some fans were mad at the Manchester United player after missing the free-kick against France and filled his Instagram with some of the vilest and most disgusting comments ever.

Meanwhile, Rashford actually had a good time at the World Cup whenever he played.

In the end, England lost 1-2 as France made their way to the semi-finals, where they will face Morocco this evening at 7PM.

But the question is, why not blame Harry Kane, who actually missed a penalty?

This simply can’t continue to happen on a daily basis. Social media companies must act now to stop the discriminatory abuse that our players and many others continue to endure on their platforms.
