Christian Atsu Twasam is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for Saudi Professional League club Al-Raed and the Ghana national team. He primarily plays as a winger, although he has also been deployed as an attacking midfielder.
The Ghanaian professional is currently making waves in the country for his kind gestures towards prisoners.
According to Saddick Adams, a renowned Ghanaian sports journalist, Christian Atsu has paid for the release of over 120 prisoners in Ghana over the past four years.
These prisoners are mostly petty offenders who had difficulties in paying their fines. Christian analyzed the whole situation and thought it wise to stand for them by helping them out.
Not only does he get them out of the various prisons, he also supports them with tokens to aid facilitate their re-integration into the society. What a kind gesture!!!
Even somewhere in 2016, Christian Atsu played with Nsawam inmates to inspire them to be hopeful as they remain incarcerated.
"I'm happy to play today against my brothers at the Nsawam Prison. I had fun with them. They have life in Christ Jesus #GodIsTheReason #GodWin,' he posted on his Instagram account.
