What’s happening in our country Ghana? We always wake up to hear bad news across the internet, those who die of accidents, murdering, others also kill their loved ones and relatives for trivial issues. The rate at which people are dying like flies this year is unbearable.
A whole family has been burnt to death yesterday afternoon after fire gutted their building at Sefwi Wiaso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
An Eyewitness known as Mr. Osei Isaiah said during an interview on the radio that they heard the family screaming for help but the neighbours could not rescue them because of the nature of the building and how severe the fire was. This incident made it impossible for good Samaritans who rushed to the scene to save them and the whole family got burnt to death.
According to the eyewitness, he placed a distress call to the Ghana National Fire Service but by the time they arrived at the scene, the family had already burnt beyond recognition, the report added.
Ghanaians have been advised on several occasions by the Ghana National Fire Service to have smoke detectors in their houses so that in situations like fire outbreaks, the detector would raise the alarm for occupants to know that there is a fire outbreak.
