School Fees Are Being Used for Multiple Betting by Students at KNUST

Yesterday, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology released a communique indicating that all students who have not paid at least 70 percent of their school fees by 7th April, 2022, will have their course deferred automatically. This communique issued by KNUST caused massive stir, debates and arguments among Ghanaians across all social media platforms.

Per reports, students use their fees to invest into businesses and gamble so as to get much returns. Sequentially, a student was interviewed about the lingering issue.

According to him, he knows of a colleague who actually used his money for betting and at the end of the day, lost. As maintained by him, yesterday's game between Chelsea and Arsenal was an example.

He argued that, his friend, who gambled yesterday's game in favour of Chelsea to win because his colleague is a Chelsea fun, lost.

He also revealed that the small amount; to which was given to his colleague to go and settle his school fees by his parents, are used for multiple betting by his colleague.
