According to information gathered by ghanasoccernet, Ethan Ampadu will be going to the World Cup with Wales. He has Ghanaian roots but will not represent the Black Stars of Africa on the grand stage. Wales defeated Ukraine in the finals of the playoffs to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 64 years.

The center back was very crucial in the game doing whatever he could to prevent balls from getting past him. In the match, Sky Sports gave him a rating of 7 out of 10 for his stellar performance. He has always been a regular for his national team, Wales but on the club side, Chelsea, he suffers to get playing time with them. The 21-year-old was eligible to play for Wales, England, Ireland, and Ghana but chose to represent Wales.

The player was born in Exeter, England to Kwame Ampadu an Irish former footballer of Ghanaian descent, and a Welsh mother.
