In 2012, Nkulee Dube the daughter of The Legendary African King of Reggae Lucky Dube made history by being the first artist in history to be nominated in six categories and also the first non-Carribean artist to be nominated in the awards and she won two gongs that year.
Lucky Phillip Dube was the first Reggae artist to be called for an encore at The greatest Reggae show in the world of Reggae, Reggae Sunsplash, Montego Bay, Jamaica in the year 1991.
After Bob Marley's great show at Sunsplash on 7th July 1979 usually the artsist that wowed the crowd after that were Dj's like Yellowman, Eek A Mouse, and Lovers Rock artsists like Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs.
