We should put our egos aside and work together to make the industry a better place. -Paa Kwasi

Our industry is too quick to dismiss the efforts of others, and we are content with that. When one person rises, we all move to that individual's side until the person falls, before we realise we have another talent to push.

This is a typical Ghanaian thought. When you don't have it, we will embrace you; when you do, the unnecessary hate begins. We've been doing this for a long time. Instead of changing our ways, we are making matters worse.

While other African countries are working hard to raise their flags, we are here making comparisons and attempting to pitch one artist to another, which is extremely unprofessional, although it occurs in other regions as well.

In our BigAyeh Daily interview with the high-life musician Paa Kwasi, he was asked to share how he feels about this ongoing situation in Ghana's entertainment sector, and this is what he said.

“I believe that instead of blaming others for the mess we created, Ghanaians should consider how we can build a better industry.” “And ensure that the government will invest in the music and art sectors and force the ministry to pass laws that would prohibit foreign content just as Nigerians did.” He said.

He urged all stakeholders to work together and help the sector because it's where they all get their daily bread.

"Let's put our egos aside and work together to build a proper industry; one that we can be proud of, one that will benefit future generations, not one that someone will say, hey, I won't put you on because he or she is not aligned with me."
