Christian Atsu's Body on its way to Ghana.

According to Turkish club Hatayspor, Christian Atsu's body is on its way to his native Ghana for burial after dying beneath the wreckage in Turkey during the recent earthquake.




The Ghanaian international had been missing since the earthquake in Antakya, Hatay, on February 6, which led to the collapse of his flat. After first stating that he was saved "with injuries," his team Hatayspor later clarified their situation.

Christian Atsu was found dead after a 12-day long, active search and rescue operation on Saturday morning.His Turkish Premier League team Hatayspor stated, "There are no words to express our condolences. "Atsu, we won't forget you. May peace be with you, lovely person.

At first, the club revealed Christian Atsu was found alive but injured. But from the same source, it has been revealed that Christian Atsu was found dead in his apartment. This news has broken the hearts of many Ghanaians expecially the family of the footballer.

In the video, the football club confirmed the death of the footballer and to that his body has been sent to Ghana for burial.
