The mortal remains the famous Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu has arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Sunday evening.
The former Black Stars winger's body was received by clergy and other high-ranking Ghanaian government officials, including Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president of Ghana, and Prosper Harrison Addo, the general secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
After a tragic earthquake earlier this month, thousands of people died in Turkey, including Atsu. The Turkish rescue teams discovered the dead body of the former Newcastle United and Chelsea winger, who was 31 years old when he passed away.
