As part of the “Breaking the Cycle of Crime Project”, the Head of State Award Scheme-Ghana (HOSA) has today June 14, 2023, donated some skill items to inmates at the Senior Correctional Centre and the James Camp Prison.
The items are to aid the inmates to take part in the HOSA awards programme.
The project which was launched in March 2023, is to equip, transform and empower young offenders aged 13 to 24 with employable skills while in custody.
The BCC project was designed by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Ghana, the Head of State Award Scheme in partnership with Australian Aid and the Ghana Prisons Service to change the mindset of young offenders in order to curb recidivism.
