School feeding programme must be overhauled immediately – NPP MP just to mention but few.

I wish to officially join this discussion as a parent and a social worker by indicating and making my point that it is NOT necessary to REVIEW SHS POLICY but rather we need PROPER Strategic Development Plans at all levels. The Free SHS should not be reviewed but needs a proper working documents at all levels, hence proper strategic plans, to be facilitated by NARNGO and Partners, with collaboration from Government.

The major challenge and problem is Feeding the students as a result of Government’s inability to release funding on timely basis to the schools. We have solution to this challenge when given the chance and opportunity by Government. My team and I do not fancy criticizing for criticism sake but rather offering solutions to problems.

Joseph’s gift in interpreting dreams gave him the opportunity to interpret Pharaoh’s dream and after that he became the Prime Minister of Egypt and was the leader and implementer of Egypt’s 14 year Strategic Plan.

As one of the Josephs in Ghana, a critical strategic positive thinker, a believer of gargantuan social interventions, and problem solving strategist, there is a way out and solution if only we shall be given the opportunity.

We live in times and seasons and during times and seasons there are the Josephs, God has given to every nation, including Ghana and we need to look for them and task them to come up with their strategies to solve the problems.

God Almighty in His own wisdom has blessed Ghana with Talents, Gifts, Brains, Experts, and Professionals who are critical generational strategic thinkers like Joseph but as to whether we are making good use of all of them is another issue for discussion. Since govt cannot solve all the problems alone, govt must open up for lofty ideas.

I am of the view that we can even extend the feeding issue to cover all our schools in both the 1st and 2nd Circle Schools as well as tertiary levels in both public and private and also feed the jobless, widows, orphans, single parents and senior citizens among others in our communities (i.e. Primary Schools, Junior High Schools, Free Senior High Schools, Training Colleges, and Universities etc. ) through Planting for Food and Jobs concept.

Complementing each others efforts, giving chance to other strategic thinkers to bring their ideas and concepts on board, and thinking outside the box, is the way to think, consider, go and adopt in the supreme interest of Ghana.

Yours in the Service of Ghana.
