Salome Nketia is a gospel artist based in Kumasi, Ghana. She had her Junior High School and Senior High School education at Supreme Saviour J.H.S. and Yaa Asantewaa Girls respectively. She then proceeded to complete her tertiary education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Education Winneba, Kumasi campus now AMUSTED.

Married with three kids in a loving family, Salome Nketia also doubles as a Deaconess at the Church of Pentecost – (Pentecost International Worship Centre, kwadaso). Evidently, she is very passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the aim of helping to spread the message of salvation to mankind.

Over the years, Salome has advanced her inner calling as a Deaconess by incorporating her God-given gift thus singing into her Ministry with the hope of championing and winning souls for Christ. With an album of eight songs, two singles and still counting, Salome has been able to make this possible by releasing different sweet melodic gospel tracks in 2016, 2019, and 2022 respectively. M'aseda Nie (Here is my thanks), is one of her powerful songs which has already been released on all the music streaming platforms with highly favorable reviews by her fans.

Salome Nketia’s Ebeba Mu being on her first album released in (2016) earned her two nominations in the National Gospel Music Awards in 2017 for these two categories: Gospel Discovery of the year and Gospel New Artist of the year.

The highly gifted musical artist and Deaconess joyfully mentioned during one personal interview that her parents loved God and served Him well – which translated into their high consumption and preference for gospel music above all other genres – this watered down to her and helped to shape her life and religious upbringing. “My mum had the gift of composing and singing songs although she never had the chance of recording any of them in a music studio. I grew up realizing that I was also blessed with a great talent in singing and writing songs which without a doubt is a gift I inherited from my mum by the grace of God Almighty.”

Salome Nketia stated further that most of her friends knew she had a passion and great interest in singing because she joined different singing groups throughout her years in school. “I do write my songs as and when I am inspired by the Holy Spirit or through dreams. I have an album of eight songs and two singles to the glory of God” - Salome Nketia confirms.

Advancing further to explain her musical journey, the highly anointed Deaconess highlighted that “Production has so far been done by my husband and I have been able to film and release five official music videos all directed by McWillies of Flashbak Media in 2016, 2019 and 2022”.

The first song she promoted on her first album titled, 'W'adwene No' which means “Your Mind”, sought to draw people's attention to the need to set priorities right by putting God first in all their doings and getting aligned to His ways, first before seeking any other thing – thus a reference to the scriptures which states “…seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” - Matthew 6:33.

Her latest song, 'M'aseda Nie', meaning “Here is my thanks" seeks to steer listeners' attention on the need to develop the attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving to God for what He has done, is doing, and is about to do.

Salome Nketia is the next big gospel artiste to look out for. Stream her songs across all the music streaming platforms by searching ‘Salome Nketia’ and you will be glad you did.
