Dorcas Opoku Dakwa is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and dancer. She was born to Isaac Dakwa and Juliana Blankson in Ghana but was mostly raised by her single mother.

She adopted the stage name, Abrewa(Old woman in Akan) Nana because she was named after her grandmother.

Abrewa Nana attended the Aggrey Memorial Senior High School and then studied Business Accounting at the Takoradi Polytechnic.

She began to write her own songs when she was still a student at the Takoradi Polytechnic. She was inspired by the likes of Aaliyah and Mariah Carey but ventured into hiplife.

She collaborated with the Sass Squad Tuma which got her huge airplay and later recorded her first album, Sagoa in the year 2000 which made her famous.

She earned three nominations at the Ghana Music Awards for Female Artiste of the Year, Rap Song of the Year, and New Artiste of the Year. In 2001, Nana won an award for hiplife Song of the Year and was named Best Female Vocalist in 2002.

Nana also released her second album African Girl in the year 2002 and was named Best Female Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards UK in 2003 she then released a third album Main 2004.

She is a dancer and implores a lot of choreographed dance moves in her videos and has also shared stages with 2Face, Akon, and Tony Tetuila.

Abrewa Nana was the youngest judge in the Idols' history. She was a judge on Idols West Africa, alongside the Nigerian Dede Mabiaku and the American Dan Foster at the age of twenty-seven.
