Akumfi Ameyaw Munufie is a Ghanaian diplomat, lawyer, and politician. He was Ghana's ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire in the fourth republic as well as the minister of Social Development. He also served as a minister of Rural Development and Social Welfare in the second republic.

He was born on 2 December 1929 at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region. He attended the Wenchi Methodist School, Livingstone College in Akropong, and the Holborn College of Law, London.

Akumfi Ameyaw Munufi started off as a teacher and from 1963 to 1969, he went into private law practice.

He was elected as a Member of parliament representing Techiman in 1969 and served till 1971 when he was appointed as Minister of Youth, Rural Development and Social Welfare.

He served in this capacity until the Busia government was overthrown. He then joined the National Democratic Congress. Alongside Alhaji Issifu Ali, he was co-chairman of the party.

He died on 17 February 2006.
