John Apea is a Ghanaian actor. He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 2008 for the film Run Baby Run in which he played the lead character.

He attended the Achimota School. He also studied Sociology and Social Policy at the University of New York and the University of Oxford.

The movie, Run Baby Run, won 8 nominations and 4 awards at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008. It also won the Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay awards in 2008.

John Apea was one of the lead characters of the Ghanaian TV series, Home Sweet Home.
