Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed was a former Ghanaian international footballer. He was also known as Polo or the dribbling magician. In 1978, he was part of the squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations held in Ghana. He also played for the hearts of Oak as a winger in the Ghana premier league.

Before signing for the Hearts of Oak, he played youth football with Auroras in Accra. Polo, Anas Seidu, Mama Acquah, Ppeter Lamptey, and Robert Hammond were known as the Fearsome Five. They were the backbone of the team.

At the age of 17, he played for the Black Stars. He has also played for the Great Olympics football club, also in Accra, and the Dubai Club, Al Wasl.

He still visits Dubai and Al Wasl every now and then and is seen wearing its yellow shirt in Ghana. After he retired from football, he was appointed Technical head of the Great Olympics in January 2004. He was the former Head Coach of the Ghana Premier League club Accra Hearts of Oak. Honors.

Polo owns a football academy, Golden Stars Academy in Legon Accra Ghana.
